Frequently asked questions

These are some common questions future tenants have. If you have any others, contact us!

What does rent include?

Rent includes heat, water, electric, garbage and recycling, water, snow removal, 24 hr maintenance, and assisted housekeeping. The only expenses you will be responsible for are cable, parking, and laundry. Every building has their own laundry room with coin operated washers and dryers. Your parking permit is $50 and is valid for the entirety of your lease.

Our pet policy allows cats and other critters. For cats there is a $300 pet deposit of which $50 is non-refundable. We do not allow dogs as pets here at the apartments. In most cases, if it lives in a cage it is okay. Fish are okay too but any aquarium holding more that 10 gallons of water requires proof of renters insurance.

Do you allow pets?

Do you offer 24 hr maintenance?

Yes. We have a 24 hour maintenance phone line that is always staffed so no matter what kind of emergency you have, day, night, or weekend, we will be there to fix it. All repairs are handled in house so there is no waiting for contractors or repairmen.

No. Each apartment comes unfurnished. The apartments include all major appliances including stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher (not in all apartments).

Are the apartments furnished?

Do you accept financial aid/ student loan refunds?

Tenants are allowed to pay using these methods with the following requirements:

1) A copy of your financial aid award letter

2) A voluntary consent to disclose financial aid distribution information form (so we can verify with the school if need be) - form provided by Ambassador

3) A minimum rental payment of $500.00 prior to move in.

The security deposit is $350 per person. For those living by themselves in either a studio or a one-bedroom, the deposit is $550. We require a separate deposit for pets which is $300, $50 of which is non-refundable.

How much is the security deposit?

Do you offer summer rentals?

We offer summer housing to tenants that lived with us for the prior school year and for tenants that will be living with us the upcoming school year. Housing for tenants remaining from the prior year and not returning is only available until August 1st.

If you are returning to Ambassador for the following academic year you may leave behind all of your belongings in your apartment over the summer free of charge.

I am a current tenant returning next year. What do I do with my belongings?

Do we have to find our own roomates?

No. If you are looking for a roommate, take our roommate match survey below to see if we can help!
